Thanks & Acknowledgments
My first thanks go to the three
doctors named Donato Perez Garcia. Without them there would be no
IPT for anyone. Only because of their persistence and dedication for more
than six decades, in the face of so much arrogance and ignorance, do we have
this opportunity today. They are the delicate human thread that has
carried IPT from the 1920s into the new millennium.
My maternal grandmother Gladys F.
Carroll, departed in 1990, made it possible for me to participate in the IPT
project in the first few years. Her generous support, unconditional love,
and lovely home provided the gracious and secure setting I needed for making my
efforts.
Tom and Margot Beeston have
provided moral support, sympathetic listening, and humorous perspectives all
these years. They have been my personal think tank and focus group, counselors,
soulmate advisors, writing retreat hosts, and dear friends.
Tom, a very special person, left us on October 8, 1999, and is greatly missed by
friends and family. I now like to think of him as the patron saint of this
website. Margot is selling their beautiful
40-acre guest ranch in Oracle, Arizona.
My parents, Mary Rose and Richard
Duffield, finally looked at IPTQ and emailed their approval, saying it is
"awesome". They have helped me in so many ways over the
years.
My biological father, Milton
Frank, gave this project his blessing on the day he
passed away.
Many thanks to William A. Tiller
for supporting my scientific work (and thereby this work), for inviting me into
the Stanford community. His latest book is
Science and Human Transformation. There is a website about him at http://www.tiller.org
Aimé Ricci
has worked tirelessly for several months to translate J-C Paquette MD's book Medicine
of Hope from French to English.
I also thank
SGA,
M.D., who introduced me to IPT, starting this adventure.
Martha Green's financial gift paid
for securing the IPTQ.com web address.
And finally I want to express my
gratitude to Prem Rawat for his work
and his inspiration over many years. It was at one of his conventions that
I ran into IPT one warm Miami Beach night.
More thanks to:
Many other people have helped me and IPTQ along the way. I
apologize to any that I have left out. (Remind me.) I do
want to note the following:
Ed Niehaus gave me some time and helped me define IPTQ's positioning and voice.
Liz O'Connell of sipr.com has
helped me with press releases.
Redmond Barnes of the National
Library of Medicine found and sent a copy of Dr. Perez Garcia 1's original Revista Medica
Militar article.
