Clinical trials have not yet been conducted for IPT and any form of cancer. And statistics for individual IPT doctors or groups of them, have not been compiled.

Many doctors and patients are looking for statistics, and we simply have to tell people that we do not have them.   If they insist on having statistics, IPT is not yet for them.  However, a lot of people have heard about IPT from friends, or have talked with doctors who have had excellent results with IPT.   For some people, the IPT concept makes sense, and the reported benefits are so attractive, that they decide to give it a try.

Here is the closest thing we have to statistics.  It is an estimate from Dr. Donato Perez Garcia 3, based on his many years of IPT experience, and from experienced passed down from his father.  While stated as facts, these are just his personal opinions, and are not agreed on by all other IPT doctors.  This text is from an email he sent to a patient on June 6, 2002.

Tijuana,BC a 6 de Junio de 2002.
Hello Mrs. _____:

I would like to make it very clear, IPT does not treat stages, so I do not have IPT statistics for stages of  any disease .

What IPT does is:

1) For patients recently diagnosed by pathology (needle biopsy or direct removal of tissue) with a tumor smaller than 4cm and no previous surgery, chemo, or radiation, the response rate for a full remission with IPT is 95%, when properly administered by an experienced IPT Doctor.

2)  For patients recently diagnosed by needle biopsy with a tumor larger than 4cm and no previous surgery, chemo, or radiation, the response rate for a full remission with IPT is 80%, when properly administered by an experienced IPT Doctor.

3)  For patients with a recurrence/metastasis because they were previously treated by surgery, chemo, or radiation, the response rate for a full remission with IPT is 25%, when properly administered by an experienced IPT Doctor.

4) For patients with a recurrence/metastasis because they were previously treated by surgery, chemo, or radiation, the response rate for a partial remission with IPT is 70%, when properly administered by an experienced IPT Doctor.

5)  For patients with a recurrence/metastasis because they were previously treated by surgery, chemo, or radiation, the response rate for quality of life improvement is 98%, when properly administered by an experienced IPT Doctor.

6)  For terminally ill patients, the response rate for quality of life improvement, if there is no liver impairment, is 40% when properly administered by an experienced IPT Doctor.

7)  For patients with a brain tumor (primary, recurrence, or metastasis) the response rate in tumors smaller than 2cm when IPT is administered as primary form of treatment to shrink the tumor is 65%. Although IPT breaches the blood brain barrier, the available chemo drugs to treat brain tumors are not as effective.  New ones are very promising.

And remember you are a human, something that was created by God or nature.  You are not the result of a human calculator.  Statistics give us an indication or clues, but they are not the final word.

Sincerely

Dr. Donato Perez Garcia

In another email on May 8, 2001, an experienced IPT doctor suggested these response rates for various specific types of cancer.  These are just estimates from one doctor, and are not based on actual statistics.  These numbers offer hope, and strongly suggest the need for real statistical research.  However, they should not be used as the basis of medical decisions.
