Bill & Melinda Gates foundation October 25, 2000 Dear Mr. Duffield, Thank you for your letter of October 2, 2000 regarding your project to teach doctors in poor countries the technique of Insulin Potentiation Therapy. The staff of the Foundation's Global Health Program was pleased to have had an opportunity to review these materials and to learn about Stanford University's planned activities. The work you have described will indeed be of considerable benefit to needy populations. However, it has been determined that the proposed activities are not among the current priorities for support by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. We are sorry to inform you that the Foundation is, therefore, unable to provide the requested funding. We are pleased, however, to know that you and your colleagues at Stanford University are committed to this important work. We thank you for the opportunity to review these materials and wish you every success in these worthy endeavors. Sincerely, Tammy Simon |
